About ZGC Tea
Selections: At ZGC, our mission is to bring customers
health, enjoyment and quality of life through tea. To that
end, our selection process targets only teas that we think
will help us attain our mission. At ZGC, we search-out only
tea selections that have the highest health benefits &
flavors, and that we feel will bring our customers the most
enjoyment and quality of life when adopted into their
lifestyle.
At ZGC we do not buy tea unless we taste it, rate it and approve it for our selections.
(see “Health Focus”)
About using “Loose Tea": The only way to experience the full
spectrum of teas available, and therefore to get the full
health benefit and enjoyment from them, is to use the tea in
its loose form. Handling and infusing loose teas is not
difficult. We have created the “ZGC Infusion Guide” as a
handy reference tool for you to use when preparing your tea.
Tea can be infused many ways. Over thousands of years the
people of China have evolved traditional methods for
infusing that have developed into what they are today. We
cover these traditional methods in our “Chinese Tea Culture
and Knowledge” section. We encourage ZGC customers to
benefit from the experience of enjoying our select teas
using the traditional methods, but provide an alternate
method using the “Zhong Guo Cha Infuser” shown on our
Accessories page.
Three Categories of Tea: There are primarily three
categories of Chinese teas. At ZGC we refer to them as
un-oxidized, partially oxidized, and fully oxidized teas. Over
thousands of years, tea growers in China have developed
methods by which they alter the flavor of teas. When
combined with the various processing techniques, plant
varietals yield unique scents and flavors. ZGC offers select
products in each of these categories. In addition we also
offer products in the categories of “Flower Teas”, “Herbal &
Health Blends”.
Tea Selections: Within each category of tea, there are many
types, and within those types there are grades. For each tea
type offered, ZGC has graded the tea for the benefit of our
customers. As you review our tea types, you will see that we
have identified them as “High Quality”, “Premium”, or
“Exceptional” selections. All teas offered by ZGC are a cut
above the general grades usually offered. That is part of
our business plan and our commitment to our customers. Teas
that are designated premium and exceptional selections are
provided for those customers that have developed an
appreciation for top-end teas, and wish to experience and
enjoy the best of the best in taste. Teas designated as
“high quality” selections are better grades than those
often/usually offered by many companies.
You are worth it. AT ZGC, we recommend our customers enjoy
our “High Quality” selections on a daily basis throughout
the day, every day. We further suggest that customers
alternate throughout the three categories of tea to add
variety and enjoyment to their tea menu, tea experience and
lifestyle. As ZGC customers incorporate the “High Quality”
selections into their lifestyle, we recommend that they
“Step-Up” to our “Premium” and “Exceptional” selections for
special moments, and to gain appreciation for some of the
finest teas the world has to offer.
Packaging: All ZGC teas are offered in 50 gram packages, and
some are offered in 500 gram packages.
