To introduce customers to our extensive line, ZGC has created our “ZGC Recommended Starter Selection”. This selection covers a wide variety of China teas. We suggest that this is a good point for customers to begin enjoying our teas, and to branch-out to additional selections from there.

The first character of our ZGC item numbers indicates if the teas are:

W=White Tea
G=Green Tea
O=Oolong Tea
B=Black Tea

Superior White Tea
Delicate aroma/flavor, with very pale yellow liquor. Silver buds plucked at dawn in Fujian Province during just a couple of days per year make this special selection an excellent choice for those that want the health benefits and the delicate, refreshing taste of White Tea.

G-1-3-3 Dragon Well (Long Jing) Green Tea
Delicate aroma/flavor, pale yellow liquor. From the West Lake region (Xi Hu), plucked in early Spring, this fine tea is one of the Top 10 China Famous Teas. Excellent pan fried Green Tea aroma and flavor combined with the health benefits of Green Teas, high in both antioxidants and flavor.

G-1-11-2 Yellow Mountain Summit (Huang Shan Mao Feng) Green Tea
Delicate aroma/flavor, pale yellow liquor. This Green tea comes from high mountain “wild” tea gardens on Yellow Mountain in An Hui Province China. This tea has a sweet vegetal taste typical of quality Green Teas, and provides high health benefits with every cup.

G-4-6-3 Feather Tip (Xin Yang Mao Jian) Green Tea
Delicate aroma/flavor, pale yellow liquor. Delicate small dark green “hairy” dried leaves. Mao Jian is named for the hairy leaf bud tips it is plucked from. Plucked and processed in the mountains of He Nan Province in the Spring. Delicious unique chestnut aftertaste combined with the goodness that can be derived from Green Teas.

O-9-6-2 Iron Buddha (Tie Guan Yin) Oolong Tea
Fragrant/sweet aroma/flavor, golden yellow liquor. Sometimes referred to as the “Iron Goddess of Mercy”, this emerald color lightly oxidized Oolong offers sweet fragrant aroma and taste. Plucked at just the correct time in Autumn, this tea leaf matures to the point where only the lightest oxidation is needed to produce this fine Oolong’s sweet, fragrant taste with much of the health benefits of the green teas.
